Rabbi Singer will be facilitating a deep dive into, and open discussion on a small amount of text (usually one verse) from the weekly Torah portion. This is based on the SVARA method of text study, where we go slow and deep, noticing not just what the text says (or seems to be saying) but also how the verse says what it says. Often is seems that the Torah is winking, nodding, and enticing us to find the missing pieces and using our svara, lived wisdom, moral intuition, and imagination. The things that come up in discussion using this method are reliably insightful, engaging, and fun!!
