Eran Kaplan is the Goldman Professor in Israel Studies at SFSU.  He is a Visiting Professor at UC Berkeley this term. He received his PhD from Brandeis University in Jewish History.  Before coming to San Francisco, he taught at Toronto, Cincinnati and Princeton. He is the author of several books, most recently Projecting the Nation: History and Ideology on the Israeli Screen.
